Incoming Freshman Admission Requirements

Incoming Freshman Admission Requirements

The 澳门在线赌城娱乐 has waived the ACT/SAT score requirement for admission and some scholarships. Students who do not submit ACT/SAT scores will not be disadvantaged in the application or scholarship review process.

Montevallo welcomes applications from those whose experience, 利益, and academic preparation indicate chances for success in the University curriculum. The Office of Admissions reviews all undergraduate applications using a rolling decision format, with students receiving notice of the decision soon after the admissions application is complete. An official copy of the high school transcript, showing grades at least through the junior year, should be sent by the high school directly to the UM Office of Admissions.

A high school student who is on a general education diploma pathway (or equivalent for students outside the state of Alabama) must provide an official secondary school transcript which indicates a minimum cumulative 3.0 grade-point average and successful completion of a minimum of 16 academic or college-preparatory credits from 9th through 12th grades. Freshman applicants with less than a 3.0 GPA will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. High school students who are on the essentials diploma pathway will be required to submit official ACT or SAT scores. For information on other diploma types, please contact the Admissions Office.

The 澳门在线赌城娱乐 superscores the ACT and SAT for admission and scholarship consideration. Superscoring at the 澳门在线赌城娱乐 means that we consider a student’s highest ACT and SAT section (or subtest) scores regardless of test date. While several scholarships are available without ACT or SAT scores, a few of the higher tier awards will require a test score to be eligible.
